Texas Railroading Heritage Museum promotes railroad preservation and study through scholarships and other programs.
Most programs are offered in cooperation with volunteers from Gulf Coast Chapter – National Railway Historical Society, Inc.
Each year, Gulf Coast Chapter – NRHS offers a scholarship to the National Park Service’s Rail Camp at the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
If you are interested in applying for a Rail Camp scholarship, email us at info@texasRRmuseum.org.
TRHM and Gulf Coast Chapter – NRHS support scouting. Railroading Merit Badge classes and Eagle Scout projects will be offered at the museum once the new facility opens in Tomball. Please check back for updates on when these programs will resume.
The Texas Railroading Heritage Museum can provide speakers on railroad history for your organization or corporate meeting. For information, email us at info@texasRRmuseum.org.
TRHM and Gulf Coast Chapter NRHS support the efforts of Operation Lifesaver, the railroad industry’s grade crossing education initiative.
Operation Lifesaver is working to change people’s behavior around railroad tracks and crossings with the national public awareness campaign, “See Tracks? Think Train!”
